Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club is pretty near Vivint Smart Home Arena. Try nicely cooked steak frites, nacho chips and chicken wings. Try good pancakes that are offered at this bar. Clients don't highly appreciate draft beer at Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club.

Musicians perform live music in the evening. A number of visitors have noticed that the hostess is terrific here. Here you will pay attractive prices. There is a pleasant atmosphere and spectacular decor at this place. But google users haven't given this spot a high rating.

Not cool. This happened twice in one night (same bartender, and cannot confirm if alll)! 1st...not a Google reviewer, but this bothered me. Bartender gives me a lump sum receipt (no detail). Cost was higher than expected, requested the itemized receipt...receipt showed he charged a 20% service fee (not cool bc he did not communicate and was about to tip 20%+). When questioned about it, he told me that the person who takes the $10 entry fee was supposed to tell me that after 10pm, it was a default charge to every order (true or false, not sure) Later asked the entry lady if there was a service fee for each order she said "no, that is not my job.".....super sketch. Call it tough times, but not cool that that is a common (and ethical) practice....ask for the itemized receipt before you tip!

I have to say, Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club really surprised me in a lot of ways. My friend and I stopped here for drinks and a bite to eat on a Sunday night and the place was nearly empty. There were a bunch of games up on the TV's (including a Jazz game) but no one to watch them. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful with answering our first-timer questions. For example, we didn't know that on Sunday's, after brunch ends, they only serve a small list of late night menu items. My friend and I both ordered a chai mule and although it was delicious, neither one of us could taste the chai or cranberries. The food was actually pretty decent! We shared the deluxe nachos and the hot chicken sandwich. Both were better than we were expecting! Still very much bar-food, but really not bad at all. I would be interested in going back to Flanker on a more popular night to see how much it changes the vibe. I assumed this place would have bigger energy, so the low-key style kind of threw me off.
