I have been here soooo many times. I’ve recommended this place to basically every human I know. People literally say, “Charlie’s Place? Gabbie’s favorite!” Unfortunately, they’ve officially lost me. We came for brunch a few weeks ago, and the “prime rib” was an overcooked piece of Sysco precooked mystery beef folded over a piece of bread. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Tonight, I came in expecting to sit on the patio, have some cocktails, and enjoy dinner with my two dogs. I walked into an almost completely empty restaurant (understandably, most people were outside), and was immediately asked if I had a reservation. No, of course I didn’t — because, this isn’t a white table cloth establishment. So I waited. And waited. And waited while they tried to figure out where they could seat us. This place advertises itself as being dog-friendly, yet somehow couldn’t find a place for me and my two dogs. There were also two other families with huge dogs behind me waiting to be seated. Finally I gave in and just left. I usually spend $80-$100 on just myself when I come here. And apparently I didn’t realize this was a family-friendly restaurant either. I was expecting more of a fun bar/patio evening, but instead they were busy seating families with babies. At this point, I really think this business needs to figure out who their customer demographic is and lean into it. Are you a dog-friendly bar and restaurant? A family restaurant? A white table cloth scratch kitchen? Because right now, it feels like they’re trying to be everything and aren’t really delivering on any of it. And speaking of the “scratch kitchen” claim this is about as far from a scratch kitchen as I’ve seen. Tater tots and plenty of other menu items are clearly not being made in-house. It honestly bums me out because I really loved this place. I’ve sent so many people here and genuinely considered it one of my favorite spots. But after tonight, I’m done recommending it. First of all, we appreciate your patronizing our family owned and run restaurant and supporting our small business. I wish you would have asked for management, but some guests feel they must immediately leave reviews for the public. I was there when you arrived Friday evening. We had a later dinner pop and the patio was almost completely full. It was a beautiful evening and we can seat 90 guests out there. We immediately searched for a spot for you and your 2 dogs. Since we are dog friendly, we have an acute awareness of placement of "dog tables" so that we do not sit other dogs next to each other since they sometimes want to "play". We also seat dogs out of the way so our non dog friendly guests do not have to walk by dogs in case they are uncomfortable. I personally was rushing to move a table further away from our main walkway and bussing it so you would have a shaded spot for your pups and were not in the main aisle. We already had 3 tables there with dogs so we needed to be strategic to find the right spot. I then heard your two dogs barking very loudly at the new dogs coming in. When I came up to let the host know your table was ready, you had left. I thought you had left due to the loud barking and not to disturb the other patrons, not because you had to wait 10 minutes on a busy Friday for a table. To answer your claims that we do not have an identity is challenging. Yes, we are dog friendly. Yes, we are family friendly. No, we are not only a bar just for dogs. We welcome all ages and family groups. Yes, we take reservations and sometimes are very full on the weekends with a wait for walk ins. As for the brunch prime rib sandwich, it is not pre cooked and comes in raw. We slice it ourselves and grill it to order. Maybe the one time you had it the cook overcooked it and we would have been glad to make you a new one if you had asked....Do we make the tater tots, no, but the demand is so high for our scratch made toppings that we do utilize the frozen tots. Everything else is made in house, even our sauces. I can honestly say we bend over backwards to accommodate our guests and do everything we can so they have a great experience. I did feel the need to defend ourselves for your experience on Friday since I was there and hustling to find you a spot. Can we always improve, yes, and do try our best, but sometimes fall short of expectations.

I would highly recommend going to Charlie’s place! The food was fabulous! You could tell that it was homemade and it was creative! I love tater tots and they had many tater tot dishes! The patio was very nice! The place is huge! I made a reservation and said that we had a dog. They specifically put reservations with pets in the corner so that the pet has more space. They bring out water for your dog. The server, Olivia, asked us if we wanted cooked chopped plain chicken breast for our dog. Those things were a very nice touch for our puppy! If I lived here, I would probably go there at least once a month! I highly recommend For both the food and the atmosphere! Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was in the large banquet room for a sports recognition ceremony for Turnstone's adaptive sports program. The facility is nice overall. Good food, plentiful options, and good service. The only complaint I have about this facility is the accessibility. There was limited van accessible parking. This was a banquet for disabled athletes, but the exterior doors had no auto opening option and the restrooms had no accessible stalls that would accommodate a wheelchair. In order to get to the restroom, you had to go through another door that was also not automated in any way. Fortunately, I am able to transfer out of my wheelchair to get to the toilet, but I was required to leave my expensive wheelchair along with all my personal belongings in the main part of the public restroom which I do not like to do in public places. Anyone requiring a fully accessible stall would not have been able to use their restrooms. While the food was good and there were multiple options, it was buffet style. There were no staff members there to assist those who could not get their own food/drinks. They had to rely on others in attendance to assist them with getting their food and bringing their plates and drinks to the table. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure
