Best meat in 100 miles under the bridge in CT. It's a bit hard to find, so use the GPS, but is well worth the drive from NYC to get some farmed meat that is far cheaper than in the city. Want a Lugar steak to cook yourself? Come here!
Just like the butchery the kitchen doesn't disappoint! Quality quality quality! We love their pulled pork salad with sweet potatoes! (It's a meal) Causal and perfect for brunch in the weekend with kids or to pick up for lunch mid week at work! I don't wish they delivered so few spots that deliver, are healthy and have quality!
I looooooooooove Fleishers Craft Kitchen. I also love the craft butcher shop attached to the restaurant - they have extremely high quality cuts of meet, interesting spices, local condiments and other goodies (chocolate, cheese, milk, etc.). The restaurant, however, is the best part of the entire experience. The food is such high quality that I don't even mind the prices, which tend to err on the high side. My husband LOVES the brisket bun - it's filled with tender, slow-cooked brisket, maple sriracha (which is delicious) and cilantro. It's so tender it melts in your mouth, however it's not a very large sandwich so I wouldn't order this if you're planning on sharing one entree for a meal (as we sometimes do to conserve calories!). My favorite item is the lamb burger, though I have to omit the yogurt (can't eat it). It's delicious, moist, flavorful, and not at all gamey. Fair warning though - this place tends to be BUSY. You'll definitely have a wait for your food, but it's cooked to order and it's extremely fresh. It's locally sourced and humanely produced so I don't honestly mind waiting and paying the menu prices. It's totally worth it to me! Also, Garelick and Herbs is right next to this shop so you can always pop over to do a little bit of shopping or to grab a coffee before you head in!
