Even though I came here for my birthday, I still enjoyed this visit catching up with an old friend with a great meal. My steak was a little over cooked but seasoned well enough not to make a difference as the mashed potatoes were much better than I expected. The brussel sprouts could've been a larger portion, but it was seasoned just as well as the steak. I hate that the steak filled bacon wrapped jalapeños wasn't as they were prior to COVID where they were filled with grilled chicken instead of steak and bacon wrapped jalapeños were also grilled. Regardless of it not being as prior to COVID, our server was polite and apologetic due to little attention given to us based on the restaurant being busier than usual. I had to say something about my experience eating there last night. The waitress came to the table and asked us for our drinks. No hi how are we doing ? Nothing like that which I feel like could be necessary to make a good first impression to a client. Other than that, I wasn’t even half way done with my plate and she comes to the table to leave the check. Didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted dessert, which we did want dessert. I am a server too and I feel like the service needs to be worked on especially in a fancy restaurant like this one but don’t get me wrong, food is amazing. I ate at flint creek steak house on April 7th, 2021 at about 5:30 to about 6:30 P.M. I shared mushroom appetizer with dining partner. I then ate the country fried steak. I noticed the mushrooms and the steak was a little greasy, but it tasted ok. The problem came later that night. I had diarrhea 11:00 P.M. until 8:00 A.M. in the morning. I had cancel planned activities because of 9 hours of diarrhea. I slept until about 12:30 P.M. at that point it seemed to have run its course.
