Very nice spot for a quick bite. The Pica-pau is especially tasty. The staff are very friendly and gave us credit for trying our extremely limited Portuguese vocabulary. The only minus is that they allow smoking at the outdoor tables - we sat inside but the doors were open so occasionally a whiff of disgusting tobacco smoke reached us. I went with five stars because I can't do 4.9, and the smoke thing doesn't warrant a whole star taken off. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €5–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

A typical Velas "café" in São Jorge, but with a big problem of intense fried smells and a very unhygienic bathroom. Just for a quick entrance and a coffee, water or snack on the outdoor terrace. It would have the potential to be much better explored. Compared to other establishments of its kind, it has a larger space and friendly service.
