We had high expectations for Fluffy House in Uppsala, even after reading many negative reviews here. Unfortunately, those reviews turned out to be accurate, and the experience was disappointing overall. Despite there being only a few customers, our pancakes still took a very long time to arrive. The cleanliness was also poor — dirty plates and glasses were left sitting on tables for almost half an hour (photos attached) while several staff members stood around doing nothing or stayed inside the kitchen. Some employees were busy using their phones, and one staff member was even playing PUBG instead of paying attention to customers. The service lacked warmth as well. There were no smiles or greetings from the staff, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. I also noticed someone eating outside food inside the restaurant, and it seemed like they were connected to the staff. As for the food, the pancakes were more about presentation than taste. It felt like a fancy “one-time experience,” but not something worth coming back for. If you want to try it, I’d honestly recommend ordering just one pancake for two people so you don’t end up regretting how much you spent. We ordered the “Very Strawberry” pancake and the Matcha Mango drink. For the price, the fluffy pancakes were not worth it at all. The matcha drink barely had any mango flavor compared to what was advertised on their Instagram page. Overall, the experience felt overpriced, underwhelming, and disappointing! Never ever again! Went with a friend, ordered the very strawberry and a latte. The place was empty. The pancakes were ready like 2 minutes after we ordered and I wondered how long those pancakes must have been waiting there, so zero freshness. The staff didn't even say hello, or thank you or anything. The food: tasteless. The pancakes didn't taste at all unless you had som syrup. It was like eating air and I was hungry half an hour after we had the pancakes. The latte was fine. They were supposed to have gluten free options in the menu, but they were old sold out. Very expensive for what it is, so if you want to pay 200sek for an Instagram photo and some tasteless overpriced dessert, this is the place to go.
