Blues, and a plate of Caddo is something I never knew I needed. I always walk past because it looked plain on the outside. I came in to a laid back counter and kitchen that felt more homey than restaraunty. It wasn’t too busy when I arrived. 2 or 3 couples and a few eating alone. Just the sound of guitar and harmonica playing through the speakers. I ordered the tilapia and shrimp caddo plate with a sweet tea for $25. Grooved with the sound of the blues down to my seat in a comfy corner between a wall of Billy bass and a wall of water skis. First smell and first bite of the food brought me straight to New Orleans and back. Im so thankful I can share this experience. Great for dates or family outings to lunch/ supper. This was hands down the worst Flying Fish experience we’ve ever had. The dining room was unbearably hot, easily felt close to 95 degrees Fahrenheit / 35 degrees Celcius inside. We watched three different groups of customers walk out because the restaurant was simply too hot to sit in, and honestly, we should have done the same. This location is owned by Hossein (Hoss) Khakpour, and it’s hard to understand how any owner could think these conditions are acceptable. Nobody should be expected to sit in extreme heat just to eat a meal. To make matters worse, we regularly visit the Flying Fish location on 6126 Luther Lane, and the difference is night and day!! The Luther Lane location is nice and cool inside, and consistently serves the same portions. At this location, the hush puppies were noticeably smaller. If customers are paying the same prices at both Flying Fish locations, they should be receiving the same product. Instead, it felt like we were paying the same amount and getting less. Between the unbearable heat, customers walking out, and the inconsistent food portions, this location reflects extremely poor OWNERSHIP because this location in Addison doesn’t even have a manager. The owner Hossein (Hoss) Khakpour has a complete disregard for the customer experience and it’s very evident. We will never return to this Flying Fish again and will gladly continue spending our money at the Luther Lane location instead. GOODLUCK at this Addison location. Atmosphere: 1
