I came here with a friend today after a dentist appointment. We ordered take away coffee & food, specifically ordering one with almond milk and the other coffee only luke-warm, due to my mouth surgery less than an hour before.
After a long wait, I was asked to confirm our order because they'd lost it...
After another very lengthy wait, I was told that they'd burnt our meals. Then we were told that they'd accidentally sold the remaining two meals that they were going to use to replace the ones they burnt...
At this point (and a rediculous amount of time waiting) they brought out our take away coffee's... in ceramic mugs... Then took them away again to remake them as take-aways.
When we finally received the coffee's, the almond milk coffee was just regular cow's milk & my luke-warm coffee was so hot that with only one sip I've received 2nd & 3rd degree burns inside my mouth!
The woman behind the counter immediately checked the temperature of my coffee and was shocked when she saw how close to boiling it was, but she refused to show me or anyone else around who saw me get burnt what the temperature was. She quickly rinsed the thermometer under cold water and hid it. Another staff member came to check my coffee's temperature, but the woman who made my coffee refused to give her the thermometer...
Other patrons who witnessed my severe burns approached her asking to see the temperature reading on the thermometer, but she just smirked and refused.
On top of all of this, she couldn't work out how to refund my credit card!
I was rushed back to my dentist to have the burns and blisters seen to, with another appointment tomorrow now, too.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this atrocity of a health hazord disguised as a cafe & wish zero stars was an option. Infact, I SUGGEST PEOPLE STAY AWAY from FOAM CAFE like their life depends on it... Because it might just come to that.
I ABSOLUTELY DO RECOMMEND people go A FEW DOORS FURTHER UP in either direction to either PIXEL COFFEE or to CRANKED COFFEE, where the food & coffee isn't just safe, but is better priced, has better choice, both have cleaner premises & the service is fantastic every time.
