An incredible spot in Ubud (Jl. Raya Pengosekan) for breakfast, brunch, or a coffee break! If you love the smell of fresh baking, this artisan bakery is a must-visit. The space features a beautiful green facade and is much more spacious than their Canggu location, offering both cool indoor AC seating and a relaxed open-air outdoor area. The Food: Their handcrafted pastries, croissants, and sourdough are top-tier. Highly recommend the Pain Au Chocolat, Swiss Danish, or one of their loaded paninis. The Drinks: Excellent specialty coffees, fresh juices, and signature bulletproof options if you need a caffeine kick. Pro Tip: Go early in the morning when the pastry display is fully stocked and the bread is fresh out of the oven! Great workspace vibe too if you need to catch up on emails.

Fold in Ubud is one of those places you stumble into and immediately know you made the right call. I stopped by needing something refreshing and went with an iced cappuccino, super smooth, well balanced, and exactly what I needed in the Bali heat. It wasn’t overly sweet or watered down like you sometimes get, just clean, quality coffee done right. Food wise, I tried the French toast bread pudding and wow that thing is special. It’s rich, soft, slightly crisp on the edges, and packed with flavor without being too heavy. You can tell they put real thought into it. I also ordered the chicken chimichurri sandwich and honestly, it was slamming. Great portion, juicy chicken, fresh bread, and the chimichurri had that perfect punch of flavor that brings everything together. The ambiance really ties it all in. Fold has a great energy, modern, clean, and welcoming. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so whether you want to sit in the AC and get some work done or chill outside and enjoy the Ubud vibe, you’ve got options. It’s comfortable, spacious, and just a good place to hang for a bit. Overall, this spot hits on all levels, good coffee, standout food, and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Definitely a place I’d come back to without hesitation. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: Rp 150–175K Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fold Ubud is a masterclass in lamination and flavor. While Ubud has plenty of bakeries, Fold stands out by treating pastry like an art form. It’s chic, precise, and—most importantly—consistently delicious. The Standouts The Croissants & Danishes: This is what they are famous for. The layers are incredibly thin and shatter perfectly, with a deep buttery flavor that isn't overly greasy. The Pistachio Bun is a cult favorite—generously filled with rich cream that isn't cloying. The Signature "Bombes": If you see the Chocoboom or Banana Bomb in the display case, grab one. They are beautifully glazed, multi-textured desserts that look like they belong in a Parisian boutique. The Coffee & Matcha: They take their drinks as seriously as their dough. The Pistachio Latte is a must-try for nut lovers, and their espresso is balanced enough to cut through the richness of the pastries. The Vibe The space is minimalist and cool, featuring their signature "green facade." It’s a great spot to work on a laptop for an hour or to have a slow brunch. Unlike some of the more rustic cafes in town, Fold feels polished and sophisticated. Pro Tip The display is at its best right when they open. If you go too late in the afternoon, the most popular items (like the Pain au Chocolat or specific fruit Danishes) will be gone. Verdict: If you want a "treat yourself" breakfast or the best croissant in Ubud, this is the place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
