We went to the Grove Vineyard, and the food truck was there. Neither my wife nor I had ever heard of them before we saw them there. We were not particularly hungry, but as we sat drinking some wine and eating some chips, we quickly decided to try them out and get some 'real' food. I waffled a bit on what to get, but the more I looked at the feta cheeseburger, the more it sounded like something we would want to try. It was sure unique. I ordered the burger, which comes with seasoned fries. I requested it be cut in half. As my wife and I had recently eaten, we planned to share it. They provided us a little buzzer that would let us know when our food was ready. I put it into my pocket and went and played with my granddaughter a bit. It was only a few minutes when the buzzer went off. By this time, I was anxious to try the food. More so than when I first placed the order. A feta cheeseburger? I just wondered how good it could be. Getting my food which was hot and fresh, and given to me with a smile, I took my granddaughter and we went back to join my wife. The smell was intoxicating. And as crazy as this sounds, my mouth is literally watering right now as I write this review thinking about that burger! This is a first!!! The burger was tightly wrapped in foil to keep it together and tidy. I peeled a little back from one of the halves and took a bit. Mercy me, it was better than I could have expected. I pretty much devoured it, as slowly as I could so I could savor it, but too quickly because it was so delicious. I only had one or two fries before I finished the burger because it was so good. Usually, I will eat a lot more fries while eating a burger. Before leaving that night we got a baklava. When comparing it to the burger, it was equally as wonderful. The perfect combination of flaky crust and a slightly chewy but delicate filling. In short, the summary is that I wish I had gotten a second burger and dessert and if you ever see this truck driving around, follow them until they stop and grab some goooooood food! If you see them serving food at an event, stop what you are doing and go eat. You will thank me for it later! 5+ stars!
The local and the Lebanese are one of our favorite trucks in the triad! I set up food trucks to come to our neighborhood all summer long and the local and the Lebanese are the most kind, responsive couple I've worked with. They made organizing and communicating SO easy. Their food is just wow! We tried a little bit of everything and it was all great! My burger was so good and the feta cheese took it to another level. Their falafel was amazing and the sauce that went with it was the perfect accompaniment. I also love a traditional baklava and this one fit the bill. This food was so good i went and found the for a second time and got food for all my friends to try! I highly recommend following these guys on IG so you'll know where you can find them and get some of the best Lebanese/American cuisine!
