Zhixiang Asian cuisine. What a find! I Went to visit a Chinese New Year festival in Wellington, Florida and by sure luck found the best food truck in the area.
Our first time. The atmosphere was pretty nice. We got there an hour after it started. Found a good parking space. We came hungry because we wanted to try everything. My Husband and I strolled up and down looking at menus. We saw the prices were steep but we were willing to pay for unique and delicious food. Didn't spot anything unique. My Husband paid $25 for a cheeseburger fries and a drink. It was fresh but It was nothing special. I ordered 3 $12 chicken taco's from a Mexican food truck and a $17 gyro from another. I almost cried neither was nothing special very blah. Next time we will definitely eat before we come. Sit on the lawn and enjoy the music and just walk around people watching. Those food trucks were nothing like we see on TV.
Yes, it's been years since I wanted to check out to this location, which hosts food trucks once a week and has entertainment of some sort in the amphitheater part. I don't know why I kept on postponing going here. This food truck invasion event is in Wellington and closes for the summer so I'm glad that I went before that. It reopens in the fall season. Many trucks participate and each week is slightly different so you should check their line up on their website. I loved the family friendly atmosphere as well as the different options of the food trucks. Many people were walking with their pet dogs and others were enjoying the music show which was live entertainment near by. Food variety was great. We ended up trying 3-4 food trucks by sampling one thing each from their menus. The food trucks had credit card option too if you don't carry cash normally. Side Note: Plenty of parking near by in the parking lot and across the event as well.~
