My partner and I visited this adorable little cafe today. We walked in and were greeted by one of the staff, who was friendly and very welcoming. We had a seat out the back in the gorgeous courtyard, I loved the atmosphere and what they did with the space, it had a very stylish retro vibe. The food and coffee was also lovely and filling! I had scrambled eggs on toast, which tasted as good as it looked and then my partner ordered a quiche which was just as delicious. All in all I am definitely adding this to my regular spots, not that easy these days to find somewhere to sit and relax and feel at home!

Can't really complain! The food was lovely The chef served which I thought unusual but not a problem! What did bother me we walked in was checking the board and a woman (employee/owner?)sitting to the side called for the young assistant to attend the counter while all the time we were in the area she was on her phone? The shop was relatively empty it was 1ish and she may have been on a break? It just looked bad from a customers perspective! I've worked in retail all my working career.. a word of advice whether you are an owner or an employee two things you never do is sit on your phone and be visible to customers and never eat where you are visible..So to that that one person you personally are responsible for a low rating ! There are just so many eateries in Newcastle I have no need to return I feel for the employees that pulled there weight on the day !

What a little gem of a place. Lovely and bright cafe with a courtyard outside if the weather is good. The menu is extensive. I especially loved all the pastries. Service was excellent. I'm delighted to hear they open on a Saturday now too.
