This place is for people with money, don't come here if you don't have plenty of it. Got pork tenderloin, comes to $40 after tax and tip aka equal to about TEN pounds of supermarket tenderloin. I would say the piece you get is about a half pound to 3/4 pd on a schnear of polenta, some sauce and a dab of apple jam. Insane. Not for me to pay 40 dollars for a plate of food. And it was actually too salty. They also add in some showy touches to make you think you are getting something for your money like decorating the butter and have the wide open kitchen. Water served was room temp, don't warm the complementary bread, butter tasted like whipped cream.

The first impression walking into the Fore Street Restaurant is the expectation of an exceptional farm to table experience. The vintage brick interior and bustling staff mingled with the aroma of wood smoke from the grill, create a wonderful atmosphere. But, while the service was exceptional, the food served was mediocre at best. Their signature grilled pork and baked haddock, while fresh, were rather tasteless and over salted, as were the two side dishes we ordered. The beans, apart from the overabundance of salt, were the consistency of school paste, and the mushy consistency of the braised red cabbage left the impression one was being served last week's leftovers.
