Had to leave before we even got seated. Came in Friday evening around 6:30pm. The hostess said “it’ll be a few minutes”. 30+ minutes went by, and we saw others there before us looking at the list on the table and wondering as well. I’m fine with a wait but there should be an estimate so we can mentally prepare ourselves or even get a drink at the bar. If we knew it was going to be 45 minutes- fine that’s ok, just let us know. We thought it was going to literally be just a few minutes. The place seems clean inside which is nice but the ashtrays outside on the tables are kind of a turn off, especially if they fill with rain water etc. pretty nasty and very dated way of doing things. Also, I know the place is small but the hostess needs a little podium or area to plan. She was using a 4 seater table in the bar area that could be used for paying customers to eat, that table is essentially unused and losing $50-100 per hour during dinner time just so the hostess can set a pad and some menus on it. Forest Hill restaurant the food price cannot be absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is phenomenal large portions great service great place for family and friends to dine. Parking: Front row handicap parking Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with a great menu Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fresh Broil Haddock French Fries Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot
