The Ball & Wicket continues to be one of my favourite local pubs. The team are excellent, always friendly, professional and attentive, and the pub is clearly very well led by Andy and Josh, who set a fantastic standard for customer service. The menu offers a great selection of quality food, there’s an excellent range of drinks, and service is always impressively fast without ever feeling rushed. One of the real highlights is the garden, which is a genuine sun trap and the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a meal when the weather is good. A brilliant pub with a great atmosphere, excellent staff, and consistently high standards. Highly recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40

Can’t find fault with the ball and wicket since Andy and the team have taken over. The food is delicious and the team are so welcoming.
