I have been going to F&B and GG north almost since they opened give or take a month or two, and as someone who deals with celiac this place is heaven when it comes to food I struggle to pick something as I know it's all so good and usually end up defaulting to the chicken tender or popcorn chicken. the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful, and I even had the pleasure of F&B catering my wedding about a month ago. (may 1st) and boy did they hook us up everything gluten free. so many of my friends and family where shocked that it was safe for the several of us there that could not have gluten. With a resent menu change I have come to find that the chicken meal from my wedding is now on the menu as the chicken dinner and it's just as good now as it was then if not better as it's fresh and hot. F&B has been a weekly date night spot for close to a year now and very frequent hang out spot in general. let me be over on the F&B side eating good food or on the GG side playing some solid games. Other notes of the new menu is the Teriyaki rice bowl when I saw that I knew I had to try it, and it did not disappoint and the garlic rice is no joke I personally love it. but others may find it to strong and the ribs my wife got those and they where gone in what felt like seconds. there are a few other new items as well but I have yet to try them but I look forward to trying them in the coming weeks. For someone with celiac finding good gluten free places that don't change a arm and a leg is very hard. Thankfully I find the prices very reasonable let it be a gluten free meal or a gluten full meal now if only I could try a pizza. thanks to a non severe allergy to calflower they are the only thing I have yet to try. but my wife loves them and usually gets one and has leftovers for lunch at work the next day. TLDR: Good food and Gelato, but can be very busy if there are gaming tournaments next door. You can check out a board game to play at your table (i.e: Boards). FnB adjoins the Gaming Guild and serves food to both the restaurant and the GG. They have a selection of appetizers, handhelds, pizzas and salads. They also have a separate coffee and gelato counter up front, as well as a full bar. We had 4 in our party and started with some fried mushrooms. They offer a large selection of sauces, but we stuck with ranch for our first visit. The mushrooms were hot and crispy, but the batter didn’t seem to have a lot of flavor other than salt. We would try something else next time, such as the Bounty Hunter fries, which looked tasty. For dinner, we tried the personal (7”) chicken and spinach pizza and the Cuban Burger, and we also tried the Frontier Power Bowl and the Tavern Pulled Pork sandwich off their specials menu. The pizza had a thicker crust with good flavor. One of our party decided it would be a good repeat. The Cuban Burger was very good. It had a nice, crispy smash patty and a fluffy, toasted sponge bun. The pulled pork was also good, but we decided we would have to try it with their option to “add a little heat” because it just needed something. Both the burger and pulled pork came with a side and both of us chose their seasoned fries, which were definitely tasty and perfectly done. The Frontier Power Bowl had rice, chicken, cowboy caviar (look it up), crema, and the choice of red or green sauce. We all debated whether there were any traces of green sauce, but were inconclusive. However, it was very good, and fit the bill for one of our party that loves “bowls”. Upon leaving, we stopped at the Gelato stand for a scoop. It comes in a cup, and we all thought the scoop was a little less generous than other gelato places, but everyone enjoyed their selections. Both the Gaming Guild and Forks & Boards advertise their inclusiveness, and we found their menu to be very accommodating. There were many vegetarian selections and even a few vegan choices. There were a lot of gluten free options for those that need it. Pricing was reasonable for the fare. Service was impeccable, but in all fairness, we were there early in the evening on a Friday before their busy time. The server was very knowledgeable and took time to chat with us about their food and their relationship with the GG next door. They have a weekend brunch and a movie night on Wednesdays on their many TVs, which comes with a fixed charge and a multi course meal (see the pictures). While they aren’t close, one of our party lives near and will likely be back often. We would stop by when in the area for sure. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: Also have Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free and Halal options.
