Wonderful food, friendly and attentive staff. Was sat outside in the patio, but on the pricer side but well worth it Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30

Favoloso Fornello!!! On the strength of the most divine polenta lemon drizzle cake, topped with Italian meringue and a shard of nut brittle and munched in the sun in their fabulous courtyard, I booked a table that evening for an early supper. Eating out is becoming a rare treat for many of us, so the food has to be exceptional. Chris the chef and owner at Fornello on Battle High Street produced glorious Italian fare. Homemade foccacia, homemade pasta and wonderful staff made for a brilliant slightly late wedding anniversary celebration. The pasta, in many shapes and sizes is to die for although the menu is not limited to pasta dishes. Even if you just pop in for breakfast or cake and coffee, pay Fornello a visit. Such a delicious addition to our High Street. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section Dietary restrictions: Asked when booking and also when seated. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot, Paid parking lot, Paid street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Has a couple steps up to front door but restaurant all on same floor and good width between tables.
