The Posthotel Donaustauf near Regensburg leaves a lot to be desired in several areas. The rooms are very bare and uncomfortably furnished, which makes a stay uninviting. What was particularly annoying was the sink, which was located directly in the room, and the cheap curtains, which did nothing to enhance the already cold and unattractive room. Another point of criticism concerns the sauna. The Finnish sauna does not reach the expected temperature and is only around 75 degrees, which is far below the usual standards for such a sauna and makes sauna use less than pleasant. The breakfast, which costs 20 euros, is an absolute disgrace. Although it's officially supposed to start at 7:30, they're still setting up at 5:30. There is no fresh fruit and you have to wait a long time for fresh vegetables. In addition, for the price of 20 euros, there are no special extras such as salmon or special delicacies. Even a simple muesli is not available. The price-performance ratio of this breakfast is therefore absolutely inadequate. Overall, the Posthotel Donaustauf offers a disappointing experience, both in terms of the room facilities and the wellness and dining options. Our room facing the street was too loud. Sleeping on the highway is more pleasant. The hotel is otherwise clean and the breakfast is okay Rooms: No room facing the street Walkability: Everything is very accessible Rooms: 5 Service: 3 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Great value
