Response from the owner

Hello, I am the owner of Freaky Fries and was present on the truck when this event occurred. I’d like to clarify that the situation did not unfold as described. The interaction happened well over four minutes after ordering and involved two separate return visits to the window after your initial order. The first request was to have the aioli on the side, which we gladly accommodated. The second request was to change the entire order after it had already begun cooking. At that time, the cashier explained that the order was already on the grill. You asked again, and our cook confirmed it could not be changed once started. I then personally reiterated after the third time you asked, “No ma’am, we are already cooking it, I’m sorry.” At no point was anyone rude or disrespectful; it was simply not possible to alter the order at that stage. We always strive to make our customers happy, but in this case, the only way to meet your new request would have been to discard the original order and start over, which we were not able to do. While we understand that online reviews reflect individual experiences, we also note that similar one-star reviews have been left for a number of other establishments by your profile. We believe this situation was handled fairly, and we stand by our decision. Finally, I do need to address that it was inappropriate to threaten our 16-year-old cashier with this review when both owners were present and happy to explain the situation further. While I regret that you left feeling dissatisfied, we stand by how this situation was handled and respect your decision not to return. Sincerely, Savannah Owner, Freaky Fries
