We enjoyed a superb lunch at Frederic's yesterday for mum's 80th. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and fun. They looked after us very well and made mum feel very special! The food and wine was incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $120–140

ORDERED:. Our place baker sourdough: with saint david dairy cultured butter ($6.00). Spanner crab tartelette: compressed cucumber, apple, avruga caviar ($14.00). Pasta of the week: prawn ravioli, carrot and shellfish bisque, charred cucumber ($42.00(. Cheese & Leek Gratin ($17.00). Brussels sprouts: with feta and pomegranate ($18.00) This was $75.66pp which included card surcharge and a glass of wine each! REVIEW: 1. Liked the sourdough. It was a fluffy piece with cultured butter that was perfectly ready to spread. It's almost made me fall in love with getting bread as a starter again! 2. Pasta of the week (prawn ravioli) was the biggest flop. 5 pieces of ravioli, although stuffed to the bRIM with prawn and a sweet shellfish bisque it's hard to justify the quantity of ravioli : price paid ratio. 3. Brussels sprouts had a sweet dressing that I wasn't a fan of. My friend liked it though! I just prefer my brussels sprouts more roasted and more of a savoury touch. 4. Service was friendly and they checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying dinner. I appreciated the visits! Interior was nice and classy. In saying that, on the way in I've never seen an entrance so awkwardly designed. The exterior door is so close to the interior door and on the angle, which means you need a bit of choreography to come into the restaurant!
