In a sentence, the meal and experience was pretty average! We had the pate and onion soup - both okay but nothing to write home about. For the mains we had the filet steak with pepper corn sauce x 2, sausage x 1 and beef bourguignon with a serving each of a poor excuse for potatoe dauphinoise. The service was slow as was the cooking and the restaurant only had 6 other diners. We had a glass (125ml) of house Pinot which was $12.50 a hit. To be fair the steak was good but it wasn't good enough to give us confidence in the three desert offerings. And the whole evening was expensive at $200. We won't be going back.

Alex is a warm friendly guy who will personally serve you good French bistro food and wine in a genuine French atmosphere - best you'll find outside France. Alex knows his rugby and loves talking about it. Good music too. Kronenberg on tap. My favourite bar.
