Visited Freundlieb and it was one of the more unique café experiences in Kobe. The bakery is inside a beautifully renovated old church, giving the whole place a calm and elegant atmosphere that feels very different from normal cafés. Their breads and pastries were fresh and well made, especially the sandwiches and German-style baked goods. Portions were quite large and satisfying for brunch or lunch. Coffee was decent and paired well with the bakery items. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get quite crowded during peak hours, and service may slow down a little when busy. Still, the atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting if you are in Kobe and enjoy classic European-style bakeries with local charm. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
