A very authentic restaurant. We couldn't speak Japanese, but they were very patient in communicating with us. Payment could only be made in cash. We didn't even have card, but they kindly waited for me to withdraw the money and even gave us a small gift. It was definitely worth the experience. The dinner we had at Furuya not only filled our bellies but also our souls. It is a family-run business and they were so welcoming, kind and funny. Although we don't speak any Japanese, they did their absolute best to communicate with us. I wish I could speak Japanese just to be able to chat with them. Everything we ate was delicious, with a special shout-out to the sashimi plate (we'll remember the spicy pickled sashimi for years to come) and the garlic butter mushroom. It is very special to experience this level of hospitality in a big city such as Tokyo which made it an unforgettable night for us. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
