Perfect for a Quick Lunch or an Affordable Happy Hour in Marunouchi! I stopped by GARB PUBLIC for a late weekday lunch. After a long morning of hard work, their "Tokumori" (extra-large) chilled Soba was exactly what I needed—healthy, filling, and guilt-free! The shop has a standing-bar vibe but offers seating during lunch. It’s a smooth self-service system: pay at the counter, get a number, and return your tray when finished. The staff were exceptionally bright and friendly, which made the experience even better. About the Food: The Soba has a very chewy, "mochi-mochi" texture. It seems the buckwheat (soba-ko) ratio might be on the lower side as the aroma is mild, so it’s more about the satisfying texture than traditional artisanal flavor. It was a decent, filling meal for the price, though perhaps a one-time experience for the noodles themselves. The Highlight: Happy Hour! The real game-changer is the membership Happy Hour. Registration is free and very easy—just scan a QR code at the shop or join via their website. With membership, beer (600 yen 300 yen) and highballs (480 yen 240 yen) are half-price! • Weekdays: 5 PM – 7 PM • Weekends: 11 AM – 10:30 PM Finding such a deal in a prime Tokyo location like Marunouchi is a steal. Thank you for choosing GARB PUBLIC. Our restaurant primarily serves Japanese cuisine, but we also offer a variety of other dishes such as soba noodles and obanzai (Kyoto-style home cooking). In addition to lunch, we also have a standing bar area in the evenings, so please feel free to stop by for a casual izakaya (Japanese pub) experience after work.
