We had a fantastic stay at Golden Rest both before and after our hike to Lake Quitolo. The gentleman at reception, William, was extremely helpful throughout our stay and made everything smooth and easy for us. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was lovely. We also really appreciated being able to store our luggage at the hotel while we were on the hike—it made the whole experience much more convenient.

Golden Rest Latacunga Hotel is a fantastic place to stay and easy to highly recommend. The staff are amazing, and the owner is exceptionally helpful — from personally guiding us to the room, helping flag down a taxi and negotiating the price, to giving clear, detailed information about buses and travel logistics. The rooms are comfortable, with hot showers and great water pressure. Breakfast is standard but perfectly fine, and the lovely courtyard is a great place to relax. The location is excellent and convenient for exploring Latacunga and beyond. Overall, a welcoming, well-run hotel that makes traveling in the area much easier. Highly recommended. Service: 5
