My wife and I visited Milan on our recent trip to Italy and decided to venture into some good old Pizza. We researched best options for us as we were near the Galleria and came up with Ristorante Galleria (in the Galleria). Upon entering, we were immediately told by the gentleman at the door that both of us needed to order an entree as that was their policy. Figuring a pizza was usually large enough for two, I didn't give it too much thought. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine and pizza to split. As soon as the waiter took our order, he immediately went to this same gentleman (assuming he was the manager or owner) who re-iterated we HAD to order 2 entrees. Reluctantly, we ordered a second pizza which we figured we could keep in our room. (Cold pizza is always good!). The menu states that this is their policy due to high rent costs, however I don't think this should be forced on people. The pizza was fairly good as was the wine and we weren't going to let one rude owner/waiter spoil our day. The thing that rubbed us further, though, as obviously, we didn't finish 2 pizzas, is when we asked them to box it up for us. They literally squished it in a plastic container rather than a pizza box. (see photos). If you're fine with their policy, I don't think you'll go wrong with their pizza, but given the rude nature of the owner/waiter and the insistence just to pay his rent, I would seek out other options, if you have them. I'm sure there are other options out there other than this place!! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. First of all, I want to apologize for the box in which they put the pizza. We always use pizza boxes but we didn't have any that day. The waiter should at least have told you that In regards to the fact that you were told by our maitre at the door about ordering at least one dish each, this is because we want to avoid to tell people once they are already seated. Many people don't read the menu outside. Thank you again and best regards
