Enjoy a beverage at Garden Project

Garden Project is pretty near Lokta Paper Craft. It's a must to taste good beer when visiting Garden Project. You will be offered good coffee. Guests don't highly appreciate chicken at this place.

The staff is said to be well-trained here. Most visitors suppose that the service is fine. According to the reviewers' opinions, prices are medium. Most of the time, the comfortable atmosphere is to be found here. But google users haven't given this spot a high rating.

Extremely disappointed with this place. Don't let the social media hype fool you.Our experience was nowhere near what was advertised. We went to Soul Square expecting great food and drinks, but both were below average at best, especially considering the prices. Everything felt overpriced, and it seemed like we were paying solely for the ambiance rather than the quality of the food or service. The most frustrating part was the PAID PARKING. For a place already charging premium prices, having to pay extra just to park felt unreasonable and left us feeling like we were being nickel-and-dimed at every step. Overall, the experience did not justify the cost. There are far better places offering better food and better value nearby. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience at Soul Square did not live up to expectations, and that you felt our food, drinks, and pricing did not justify the cost. We always aim to deliver a premium experience that matches our setting, and your comments regarding the food and service quality have been shared directly with the team for review. Regarding your concerns about parking, we would like to gently clarify that we do offer one hour of free parking for our guest; you just need to ask for a validation stamp on your ticket from one of our staff members before you leave. We truly value your perspective on our overall value and hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a much better experience.

This "Garden Project" is a new place in the Lalitpur area. It is NOT just a restaurant as several reviews seem to suggest, but it is an open space, around which is a restaurant (Soul Square), a bakery (l"Artisanat"), an icecream parlour, and several shops are located. The idea and the execution is great: there are really not many places in Kathmandu where you can sit outside, but here, they have plenty of space (there is also inside seating). There is even a fantastic old tree in the middle, which seems to have luckily survived the usual Kathmandu mania of concreting everything up. Given that there are several eating/drinking places, you can chose between a meal, a pastry, and icecream (or all), and relax. We had some falafel and a sri lankan curry in the Soul Square and both were good (3-4 star). We then had a coffee and almond croissant in l"artisanat and both were very good (4-5 stars). Unlike what other reviews said, service in both was excellent, and the food came fast. Prices are reasonable. Personally, I find it strange that the Project Garden management mixes food/drinks venues with shops (toys!, clothes!). I would go there to hang out and enjoy a drink and bite, not to shop. Going shopping is a totally different activity. The Garden Project would benefit if the shops were replaced by other places to eat or drink. But for sure a nice place to relax and meet friends! The online pictures show a lovely old villa in the Project Garden. This villa is there, but it unclear what it is used for (there is no restaurant in it, it seems). The site also has (paid) parking, which is a huge plus! I will certainly go back... Kathmandu needs more places like this where you can breathe and don't feel being enclosed by 4 walls.....
