Gaststätte Hirsch in Metzingen is an amazing restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and delicious home-made food. The Allgäuer Hirtenspieß, Jägerschnitzel and Cordonbloue are some of their most recommended dishes. The portions are big and the prices are small. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have free parking lot and free street parking. This restaurant is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy good, simple but quality Swabian food. Highly recommended!

Cozy, rustic, family restaurant. Very good Swabian cuisine. We were absolutely impressed by the food and tasted excellent, all at a good price. Extremely friendly and fast service. Also had tips for visiting Metzingen. Very dog friendly (got water and treats ). Absolutely recommended, if we are in the area again we would like to come back. If you come to Germany you eat German....and if you eat German you eat....a lot and well! This happens at Gaststätte Hirsch where the portions are incredible and the flavors are the right ones, accompanied by the friendliness of the lady who served us. To redo....
