My partner and I traveled to a few cities across Japan trying all the different restaurants recommended by locals. Gatsun is definitely in our top 3, and that's really saying something considering how many ramen places we visited. We ordered the plain tonkatsu broth and the black garlic version, both with all the fixings, and they were each so tasty in their own way. Best tonkatsu broth we've had, rich without being too oily. The noodles (especially the refill) were perfectly firm and chewy. The chef is super cool and friendly. We also ordered the fried chicken (karrage) and it was crispy and light. Wish we weren't leaving Japan tomorrow. We discovered Gatsun too late into our trip to enjoy it again and again. Hope to visit again the next time we're back in Japan.
