While visiting Calgary, we wanted to try cuisine other than Canadian and European. The choice fell on GEEZ Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine. An excellent diversion for us Europeans. Food excellent. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$100+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We are not new to Ethiopean food and have always thoroughly enjoyed the amazing flavours. We decided to give Geez a try after reading the great reviews. Unfortunately we were very disappointing as the meat and veg platter was inundated with a ridiculous amount of raw jalapeños which ruined all the subtler flavours. No one in our party of 4 was able to enjoy the meal as our mouths were burning after the first few bites. We shared our feedback with our server but not sure they cared. If you want to try authentic ethiopean food, imo there are much better ethiopean restaurants in Calgary
