I took my wife to the 5 course meal & wine pairing through Tuscany at Gemelli by Earthfare. When I got there they didn't have the reservation I made through RESY but the hostess, Carly, did not hesitate and set us up at a temporary space with a server so we wouldn't feel out of place. The tables were filling up quickly but Carly, somehow, saved the night and got us an excellent seat at a couch in the main dining area. Thank you Carly. All of the courses and wines were very good, well presented and professionally served. The atmosphere was appealing and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the salad with shaved parmesan, bibb lettuce, delicious tomatoes and a caper vinaigrette dressing, the wild boar and pasta dish and the fresh made donut filled with hazelnut mousse. The whole journey was enjoyable with an entertaining man explaining the back story to each of the wines we were served. Besides the food and excellent seat we thoroughly enjoyed the champagne with a lemon sorbet with a sprig of rosemary! We hope to steal their idea when we have friends over. I ordered the corn beef hash Benedict. It came with two slices of dry focaccia. There was no olive oil or butter. Upon arriving, I stood there for a while before anyone acknowledged me. I walked up to a woman who worked there and asked if she would wait on me.

I took the food back and I went to speak to the manager about my experience, and she immediately cut me off and told me that there was nothing wrong with the food and nothing wrong with the way I was treated. I feel that her attitude was hostile, defensive, rude and unnecessary. I will not be visiting here again.
