Gen

Nestled on Shimmakino Street in the city of Kurobe, "Gen" is a dinner spot worth considering if you're exploring Japanese cuisine. It features an interesting variety of dishes, spanning from traditional family-style meals to regional Okinawan specialties. Diners have noted the menu's breadth, which caters to diverse palates.

Open every evening except Tuesday, Gen welcomes guests primarily for dinner service. Operating hours start at 5:30 PM, with extended servings until midnight or slightly later on Fridays and Saturdays. Despite having no recent reviews—it’s been years since the last one—and limited engagement from the current owners, customer feedback from the past highlighted its enticing food offerings, such as its croquettes.

For those seeking reasonably priced Japanese fare, Gen might be a worthwhile stop. Without fresher feedback or updates, potential visitors may wish to approach it with moderate expectations.
