Genkai-don is a fantastic choice, especially for the price! The food was absolutely delicious and felt like a great value for what you pay. It's definitely worth checking out. The ordering process is done through an app, which can be a bit tricky if you're not tech-savvy, but they do have clear instructions to help you through it. Because of this system, there isn't much traditional service, but if you sit at the bar, the chefs are right in front of you and are very friendly. As for the drinks, I would suggest skipping the sake here. It's not that it's bad, but Kyoto has so many other incredible options for similar or better prices just about everywhere. Overall, I would recommend going for the amazing food and value!
