My wife and I had a great meal at Genki. The owner and chef delivers fantastic traditional Japanese food with twist. His training as a patisserie chef shows in the elegance of his dishes. That combined with fresh local produce deliverd with clean and unique combinations like macha powder and sea salt for dipping crisp tempura in. There is small cover charge which provides a delicious starter of pickles and small bites. The staff were fantastic. Atmosphere reminiscent of izukayas we first went to in the mid 80s. Just be aware it is cash only....but they tell you with an English sign on arrival. Highly recommend this restaurant. Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
