I visited "Gentamaru," located just a short walk from the JR Ryogoku Station East Exit, for lunch. I ordered the "Komachi" set, which is their most basic option. The sushi is prepared by a chef right in front of you. The toppings were sliced thick, and each piece was quite filling. Given the price, the quality and portion were highly satisfying. The miso soup that comes with the set also served as a nice palate cleanser. It is a budget-friendly restaurant where you can casually enjoy good quality sushi near the station. Great sushi, kind owners, wonderful atmosphere. The unagi and mackerel were especially good, and I also enjoyed the crab!
