A hidden gem!! First time visiting! I got to work today and my mission was finding chili for lunch! As a transplant to Saint Louis, I’ve been trying to find a little diner that reminds me of back home, like genuine comfort food. I got to meet Cindy who was running the show by herself, she was very kind during service and she even informed me of some history about the place. Sat down upon entering and ordered some take out immediately with no wait! Customers near me struck up conversation like I was an old friend. I’m coming back as soon as I can to try their biscuits and gravy as well as those burgers which smelled delicious!! Thanks again to the kind lady running the place! This is a classic, beautiful diner. I ate breakfast there for the first time. It was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly. The other guests that were in there were all happy and content. You are missing out if you have never eaten at George's Diner. So much better than any corporate restaurant. The guy next to me ordered French toast and believe me I will be eating that next time!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: French Toast, German Fried Potatoes
