Caffè Gilli is one of those places you really should experience when visiting Florence. We visited as a family and the setting is beautiful, with a real sense of history and character as soon as you walk in. The displays look fantastic and the whole place has that classic Italian café atmosphere that makes it feel a little more special. The team were welcoming and the service was excellent, even with us visiting as a larger family. It’s a great place to stop, relax and enjoy something while exploring the centre of Florence. You may pay a little more than at a normal café, but you’re also paying for the location, atmosphere, service and experience. Definitely worth a visit while you’re in Florence and somewhere we would happily return to. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €10–20
