Having been faithful to the Maison de la Danse for around twenty years, we have frequented and enjoyed the bar-restaurant (formerly Ginger and Fred) since our first visit. However, to our great regret, we will stop frequenting this place from now on. Indeed, since the change of the 'concept' in this 23/24 season, the bar has become much less hospitable. If you just want to have a drink and not eat an entire menu, you are now relegated to the 'terrace'. It is in fact the corridor of the Maison de la Danse, an unsuitable place for this type of activity: it is a place of passage, it is noisy and especially full of drafts in this winter season. To avoid catching a cold, it is in your best interest to stay well wrapped. The menu laid out on the tables presents, apart from the drinks, some small side dishes (e.g.: tapas from 6 euros), but which are already no longer served (January 2024). On the other hand, we offer you 2 or 3 small dishes from 10 euros marked on a slate. We've tried this place twice this season, but there won't be a third. Already, on our first visit this season, a waitress promptly directed us from the room to the corridor and on the second, we suffered a 30-minute wait in the cold before a waiter came to us despite two attempts from our part of ordering directly at the counter (response: 'wait, a waiter will come to see you') This bar is no longer for us and we can only advise against it.
