In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around St. Giles-in-Reading Church, stop by this restaurant. Nothing can be better than eating nicely cooked fish, chicken and sweet fries. Degust good wine. It's nice to taste delicious coffee.

The warm atmosphere of Giraffe makes customers feel relaxed and have a nice time. The high ratings of this place would be impossible without the creative staff. No gluten free menu just pages and pages of allergens to go through.
Gluten free option was ONLY over cooked salmon teriyaki. Starter was ONLY chorizo. Needless to say I left hungry.
The waitress was embarrassed and said she asks for something to be done about this.

Went to Giraffe at the oracle in reading. Thought we try this place as we hadn’t been for a long time. There was more people outside than in as it’s was a beautiful day, but we didn’t feel the need to eat outside. We was seated pretty much straight away. Took about 10 minutes till our order was taken, the gentleman waiter seemed nice. When the starter arrived it was just plopped in our table no word from the waiter, no cutlery and no plates. I had to grab them from another table. Then finished the starter, waited for that to be taken away but main meal already came. It was lacking in the vibe we are normally used to, it seemed they couldn’t be bothered, we was In there about 45 minutes it was fast service and it felt that once in the ready for the next customers to walk in. Won’t rush to go back here again unfortunately.

Despite the restaurant being almost empty, it took ages for someone to take my order. Awful service and undercooked microwave food. Avoid at all cost!
