Godfather's Pizza invokes the idea of an Italian summer, with San Marzano tomatoes ripening on the vine. Its sunny out and your grandmother is yelling at your grandfather to put his cigar down and get the fire going so they can get on with canning tomatoes for pizza and spaghetti sauce. Well, let me tell you, you will find nothing Italian about the pizza inside these little boxes. The crust tastes bland. There is red stuff, but it probably hasn't been a tomato for a couple years. Cheese is there, but again bland. The temperature of the hot plate the slices were placed on was set perfectly. I had gotten my hopes up for pizza by the slice anywhere near Appleton... sometimes we can't have nice things in Wisconsin. 2/5 stars, pass.
