We come here for their buns! The hotdog, ham and cheese buns, coconut raisin, cream bun, etc. We come usually once every few weeks. Found out that their doors are closed. Does anyone know if they moved or what happened? Also, their dinner rolls were a family favorite.

Wanted to support a local business during the pandemic and was craving some Asian bread, so I thought I'd give Golden Bakery a chance, having passed by several times by car. I got the taro pineapple peel (like a pineapple bun with taro filling) and the red bean bun. I wanted to try an egg tart, but the crust didn't look all that great. Unfortunately, the buns were also far from the best Asian buns I've had -- the pineapple had a good crunchy top, but the filling wasn't quite homogenized. The red bean bun didn't have nearly enough filling -- I would say only about 10% of the bun was filled, and the red bean was only around the edges, not the middle of the bun. Both buns were also a little dry on the inside. I imagine they'd taste a little better heated up, but these buns shouldn't need to be heated up to taste good. Price wise, though, $1.95 for each bun is quite the steal. Customer service wise, the lady inside was very friendly, to my surprise, while the man was more of the stoic employee you'd expect from an Asian food establishment. I don't know if I'd visit again, but if I did, I'd try the Vietnamese sandwiches or just get the normal pineapple peel bun. They did have some cool-looking pandan rolls that had just come out, and their cakes look pretty decent. All in all, a pretty average bakery, not worth a special trip but a nice neighborhood place to support.
