It was meh. I ordered online which lead me to believe the chicken strips would be cooked to order which was unfortunately not the case. Each strip was maybe 3" long, they were ok. The mashed potatoes were hmmm, kinda gummy and the gravy was bland, but I'm not a fan of white gravy. The root beer was weak and barely carbonated. The roll was great. I was not able to order the 6.99 deal online so it basically cost me over $3 for the crappy root beer. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I absolutely love this place—the food is consistently excellent. However, like everything else, the prices have increased significantly. These types of eateries used to be a go-to for saving a few dollars, and that’s no longer the case. As a result, what was once a weekly stop for our family of three has become more of a once-a-month visit. This was my first in person visit to a Golden Chick, and I cannot relay how impressed I was just on a simple review. Christian was very friendly and helpful, my order was ready when I got there, the environment was well lit and clean. I appreciated seeing TVs on the wall making a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were orderly and looked clean too. I haven't seen a clean fast-food place around Houston in years, so this was all mind blowing to experience. Whoever is running this place runs a tight ship and has a bright future. Thanks for making the night great! And boy howdy, the Lucky 13 feels like a great deal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
