Golden Monkey is by far the most incredible Thai restaurant I’ve ever stepped foot in! The vibe? Insane! You’re greeted with this stunning view of a waterfall and a golden Buddha that just takes your breath away. The decorations? Pure gold goodness! And don’t even get me started on the staff—they’re like the friendliest humans on the planet, seriously! Now onto the real star—the food! Oh my, where do I even begin? Their Thai red curry? Spicy perfection! And that chicken pad Thai? My brother and dad were left gobsmacked by how tasty it was! And let’s not forget the starters - the spring rolls were so so good!! And here’s the highlight: they serve jasmine rice in a traditional basket, piping hot and ready to blow your taste buds away! Trust me, you HAVE to experience Golden Monkey—it’s a whole new level of yum! The Golden Monkey Thai restaurant, might be the best decorated restaurant in Cyprus! The Buddha in the center and the elephant near to the entrance were my favorite decorations. The offered us prawn crackers, as a complimentary, but we said that we want something vegan, so the waitress, very politely, picked up the crackers and said that she will be back. So it was a small piece of tofu, but full of taste! This was just the beginning! I had a really nice conversation with another waitress, because we had no idea what to order! She was so nice and friendly from the beginning, until the last minute! She was amazing! So for appetizer, we had steamed flower dumplings. They were delicious! The main course included pad thai with tofu and veggies, and panang curry tofu. Both were delicious,with fresh ingredients, but pad thai wins! We couldn't leave without a dessert, so we ordered the one of two vegan options. No words to describe the sweet sticky rice with sweet mango! So simple and so unique!
