This place is incredible the service was friendly and the food was authentic Italian. Portion sizes are large which is perfect because we are big eaters! First time here and what a pleasant surprise. Staff super friendly, ordered the ultimate lasagna on the waitress’s recommendation and was not disappointed. I love Italian food and have visited many Italian restaurants throughout Auckland. This place is a gem. The lasagna was the best I have tasted. Compliments to the chef. Love this place and will be back. The restaurant is located in a small shopping complex in Farm Cove Pakuranga, an unlikely place where you would expect to find a restaurant serving Italian cuisine as good as this. Yesterday evening we went to Golden Olive restaurant & Pizzeria in Farm Cove. The service was great! The waitress was very kind and friendly. We had a reservation inside, but the weather was begging for al fresco dining, and they happily whipped us up a table outside without any problem. The chef was also friendly greeting customers from the back. The place had a nice atmosphere with lots of beautiful posters and photos of different places in the Mediterranean. First, they gave us complementary nibbles, a tasty treat while we waited for our order. I had the Adriatica pizza which had seafood and my wife had the Vegetariano pizza. They were tasty and we really enjoyed them, although at some point I did not think I was going to be able to finish my large pizza! Then, we had an Affogato and Ambrosia for dessert and they were also really good. Overall, going to Golden Olive restaurant & Pizzeria was an enjoyable experience and we would love to go back. Thanks to the chef and staff for a nice experience and excellent customer service! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
