Found this place as my girlfriend and I were looking for a quick bite before indulging in some ice cream by the beach (), and the first thing that I would like to comment on is that this place has incredible value for money! I mean, both our meals + drinks hardly costed €25, which is shockingly good And it's not like you're paying for trash either, as the food is actually of good quality! We took one of their XXL Sandwiches (which is actually just a ftira—but who's complaining?) and one of their specialty cotolette, which is essentially a breaded cutlet with toppings—a bit like a pizza but with breaded meat as a base I actually really liked my sandwich (friarelli e salsiccia also happens to be one of my favourite pizzas ). But besides the fact that I happen to really like the filling, the quality of the bread and the sandwich in general was also very good: the bread was perfectly toasted and the rest of the ingredients seemed freshly cooked. The cotoletta, on the other hand, was also quite decent, although nothing to shout about; the concept is very innovative but we weren't particularly blown away with the execution. The service was really good; in fact, the owners seem quite lovely, although our interaction with them was quite short as we only spoke with them to order and pay! However, from the little we spoke with them, they were quite welcoming and warm—especially the "buon appetito!" with a smile as we received our food There's not much to really talk about regarding atmosphere as the eatery is a very small fast-food/takeaway restaurant that has only a couple of tables outside for "dining in" (so to speak ). But the place is situated quite close to the sea and the beach at Marsalforn, so if you're a beach lover, you'd definitely find yourself at home. All in all, this is definitely a good place to go to if you're in Marsalforn and looking for a quick and very affordable bite to eat—well, much more than just a "bite", that's for sure! Amazing place. No nonsense, quality food and happy to mix and match from their delights on offer. I had chicken skewers with rice, fried aubergine, spinach. My partner had chicken skewers with salad and chips. A couple of Cisk lagers all for €20. Great service, great food. Going for the lasagne tomorrow! Quality Italian street food on a budget and a smile amidst the crazy prices around the Marselforn Bay. Love it Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Easily the best food we’ve had during our trip to Malta and Gozo. We are staying in Valletta and have tried a couple of “fancy”, top-rated restaurants. Golden Oven was superior in every way - price, quality, service. The cannolis were especially delicious. We’d recommend this place and WILL return before we leave! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
