I hadn’t been here in a long while, decided to take my family who was here from Toronto, and what a disappointment! The place looks run down and tired, the food was average at best, flavours were off and some bland. Service wasn’t great either, even though it was not busy at all. Asked for a round of waters and got a jug with small plastic glasses. Then one server brought us a dish that we didn’t order, when we told her that wasn’t our dish she insisted it was and had an absolute fit, she was rude and carried on in her language in a mean tone. Another server came over to see what was up and they carried on screaming in their language. We asked to see our original sheet that we ordered from and showed her that we hadn’t ordered that dish but she tried to twist it on us. In the end, we didn’t even get the original dish we ordered. Anyways, will not be going back there. Tasty Noodle offers better service and food. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40

I attended our church's 30-year anniversary dinner at Golden Rice Bowl recently with over 200 people in attendance, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. Serving a group that size is no small feat, but the team here handled it very well. The food was genuinely impressive: everything arrived hot and fresh; the portions were really generous; the flavors tasted home-cooked rather than mass-produced. You could tell real care went into the preparation, even at that scale. Our guests were raving about it all evening. Just as notable was the service. The staff, led by the owner Ms. Shi, were attentive, organized, and kind throughout the entire event. They kept things running smoothly without ever making us feel rushed, and they treated every guest with warmth and patience! It means a lot to our church family to have a local restaurant we can count on for big occasions like this. Thank you, Golden Rice Bowl, for making our evening so special.
