Unfortunately, I have to add to the one star reviews. We ordered from here thinking that a place that’s been o in business this long must be decent. We were wrong. Spring rolls were virtually tasteless but the worst was the deep fried squid - it was inedible. Once you got through the six inches of batter, the squid was so tough you could barely chew it. We threw it in the garbage because it was so bad. The chicken fried rice was a decent portion but that was not enough to make up for the two other terrible dishes. I am by no means a foodie and my standards are modest but I have never had such bad Chinese food in Calgary. Food: 1 Price per person: $50–60

We ordered $145.00 of different dishes. It was not good all! Chicken with cashews had exactly 5 nuts in it. The seafood noodles had a couple of very small shrimp and that’s it! The salt and pepper squid was all breading and had maybe 6 pieces total. Chicken corn soup was all corn starch! Beef and snow peas was all snow peas with a tiny bit of beef on the bottom. Very very disappointing. We called to give feed back and they couldn’t care less. Food: 1 Service: 3 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: $100+

Golden Leaf Restaurant is a hidden gem in Calgary! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic selection of authentic Chinese dishes, each prepared with care and bursting with flavor. The ginger beef was perfectly crispy and tangy, and the sweet and sour chicken balls were a hit at our table. The chicken chow mein was deliciously savory, with just the right balance of textures and seasoning. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Even with our special requests, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful take out experience. Golden Leaf has truly become one of my go-to spots for Chinese cuisine in Calgary. This restaurant never disappoints. Highly recommend!
