Had a craving for some BoZaiFan, so went to get some good taste casserole rice to satisfy my cravings. Satisfy them they did! I was surprised with their many different combinations with a wide variety of cured meats to BBQ pork and pork short ribs. With the different choices, you can order the rice bowl to your own preferences! We got the assorted cured meats and pork ribs on rice and cured duck and fish on rice. I didn't care for the duck or fish because it was bone in and rather bothersome to eat because of that. Assorted cured meats and pork ribs had flavour and was really good. The rice was cooked well, had the perfect proportion of water:rice making the rice just cooked enough to be individual grains and not soggy. In both bowls the rice formed a crust at the interface with the stone bowl and was the highlight of the dish. Fluffy rice with crispy edges is a good start to the casserole rice. Add some seasoned soy sauce to give your rice even more flavour and you get the perfect personalized casserole. The rice bowl also came with soup and some boiled veggies. Both were rather disappointing. The soup was bland and the veggies smothered in oil. Also got some rice noodles here. Tried the regular one with no fillings. The noodles were thin and steamed well, would highly recommend. Looking forwards to trying them with filling!
