Don't forget to eat nicely cooked meat sandwiches, pork and chicken at this bbq. Delicious beer is worth trying here. Musicians perform live music in the evening. A number of guests have noticed that the staff is terrific at Gorrono Ranch. A lot of visitors point out that the service is cool. Prices at this place deserve attention since they're fair. You will certainly like the pleasant atmosphere and cute fireplace. As for the Google rating, this spot received 4.6.

The lodge itself provides a cozy atmosphere to relax while on the mountain, however the food is way over-priced and mostly poor quality. The $14 chili was decent, but the $18 tenders and fries were horrible. The chicken was overcooked and the fries were soggy. One would think that a luxury resort could provide hot, quality food. Great spot to ski in, grab a bite or drink, and ski out. Gorrono Ranch is located under Village Express Lift 4 on the Misty Maiden run at Telluride Ski Resort. I like stopping here because they have a fire pit outside with an outdoor bar. They usually always have a live musician on hand jamming out to some great tunes. Food includes burgers, chili, BBQ, and snacks. I've attended a couple catered buffets outside with some of the ski clubs I go up with. They will roll up some outdoor grills for it. The pulled pork sandwich is my favorite. Telluride Brewing Co. will at times set up for some free beer tastings which I have no problem making some time for. Gorrono Ranch is named after the family that built this place. It is known as a "snow beach" because of all the colorful lawn chairs you can sit and relax on. You get great views of Mount Wilson right from your chair (the inspiration for the Coors mountain logo on their cans). If you are on your skis an need to make a quick pit stop, this mid-mountain ranch is a good place to stop by. They are available to rent out for private events like weddings in the off-season.
