Really disappointing meal. Even though I asked specifically what was on the menu the day before, the only thing on offer was cheap burgers and hot dogs on paper plates. We drove an hour to get there so a real let down

Hi Elizabeth,We have to apologise for the wrong information passed to you. The August Bank Holiday weekend has been our beer/music festival weekend for 15 years. It is normally outside but this year had to be moved inside due to the weather. Our decision to cook the BBQ menu from the main kitchen was made as it was the only practical offering that we could make, once the pub was full, as it was throughout the weekend. Sorry again,

After bike ride, went for a meal at Gosforth Hall Inn. Staff were really accommodating, I like my tea strong and they obliged. I had the sea bass. It was beautifully done, the piece of fish was very good, and really nicely cooked. The vegetables, all fresh, and the mushroom and potatoes were lovely. Really nice I’ll definitely come back here. Thanks
